My original plan was to build a rack that could accommodate my water gear in the winter and my snow gear in the summer. Building something that can change to accommodate different gear is defiantly a must. Last edited by College Kid; 12-06-2012 at 11:00 PM. |

Now that I think about it, I'm going to revise mine. I'm going to make double stacks hanging from the ceiling. The upper most will be the "off season" the lower will be for the current season and will be reachable just standing so that I don't have to get a ladder to access but mean while is above head height protecting what brain cells I have left.

I have posted these before on another thread but this is how we store our gear in the "ski shed".

Nice. And I'm jealous, mostly about your distance to the water I see in the background.

Additional lower tier installed. If I used a taut-line hitch for the knot it would be adjustable in place. As it is, I used a simple overhand knot and would need to re-tie to adjust height. Water sports move to upper tier for "off season". Winter sports moved to lower tier for current season.
