Plain would be my preference as well. The logo looks etched into the SS so it would probably take some work to get to clean metal.

What about getting them with the OEM version receiver? That brass nut threaded portion on the retrofit version looks pretty thin, IMO. The regular nut would be much stronger, and it may even cost less.

You can choose either the brass 'retrofit' receiver or the 'oem' receiver. It's your choice at the time you put in the order. The price is the same between teh two of them.

I can ask again if they can do a special for us with the plain (i.e. no logo) buttons. The last time he said he'd do it if we put in an order for 200. The worst they can do is say 'no'.

I agree 2 is sufficient... unless you tie a rear line too loose or don't dock properly... or someone else's boat rafts on to yours and they don't dock or tie on properly. I think I'll be buying the third for insurance & piece of mind, and mount it somewhere just forward of the windshield but YMMV.
