Hidden latch and gas shocks on Stars and Stripes motor box
I was curious if anyone has ever retrofitted the hidden latches and gas shocks on newer boat's motor boxs to a S&S's motor box. Redoing the floor in a S&S I recently bought and would love to lose the outside latches. Does not seem that it would be too hard to do, just don't know where to start. Anyone had any luck with this, particular year model to use?

I can understand the desire for the gas shocks a little better than the latches. For the gas shocks, this will get you started. It's not the same boat, but it will give you an idea.
As for the latch, I don't know. They kind of drive me nuts on the MCX.
