Only time I tried setting the boat up for surfing with stock ballast was for a test drive and didn't surf it. The wake in comparison between the two is unreal. I will put a pic up of the wake dialed later when not on mobile.

Sweet! We never spent time trying to surf behind it this past summer so I'm looking for some specs for next spring/summer!

We have surfed behind several X2's with stock ballast. Medium wake, short pocket but surfable.

Here is the surf wake with two of us in the boat, stock stbd full, kgb full, 455 in stbd locker, 750 on the seat behind the driver, 370 on the floor as close to the bow as possible, port surf tab deployed 100%, 9.6mph. A little bit of a chop in this pic, so it may not look too clean.

Thanks! Full port and kgb ballast filled. 450# in the rear port locker, 450# on the seat in front of the port locker, and 450# on the floor, longways, next to the drivers seat. There was only my two younger brothers in the boat. Trim tabs (in order from left to right) 20, 20, 80. The speed on this wave was prolly 11.2. Usually we surf at 10 or 10.2 but I was just trying to see how far back I could go so I bumped up the speed a little. I'm trying to find pics of our usual set up which involves an extra 450# and at 10 mph that is a bigger and cleaner wave.
