Winterzing a 2008 X2
Looking for a manual that would instruct me how to winterizing my boat. Would like to learn how to winterizing instead of sending my boat to somplace and pay someone to do it. My boat is 2008 MasterCraft X2 . I use at fresh water lake. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check out the winterization sub forum/threads. There's several different ways that people go about it, but, in general for your boat.
Change the oil/filter. Suck out/replace as much trans oil as you can get out (same 15W40 as the engine). Change the trans filter if it has 200hrs or more on it. (optional) Drain all the water out of the engine, hoses, exh manifolds, block drains, heater, shower. Pull/replace the raw water impeller. Pump the ballast as empty as you can. Anti freeze the ballast tanks and pumps. General cleaning. Leave the bilge plug out if it's stored outside. I don't have a manual, think there's some instructions in the owners manual and lots of tutorials on here. It costs less than $100 for standard winterization stuff. Add $40 for a new impeller and , sit down, $75 for a trans filter if needed. But like I said trans filter every 2-300hrs unless you get water in the trans or something bad. 1st time you'll spend a few more bucks on tools/supplies that you can re-use. I'd expect to spend a full day the first time you do it. Takes me about 3-4 hours now for the basic oil change/winterize.

Does someone have a pic of where the 2 drain plugs are located on the MCX V engine. Here is my plan and tell me if I am wrong. All I am going to do this fall is drain block, fog, battery maint, and pull impeller then in spring change filter oil, install impeller. What other tools besides oil filter wrench and paint can openers do I need for a do it yourself?

Likewise, I would suggest you put some anti freeze in the motor. I pushed out a freeze plug one year and I'm two hours south of you.

The drains are below the spark plugs just above the oil pan.
Look for the knock sensor..remove the nut and sensor to get to the drain bolt
