Mastercraft Trailer Manual 2000 Tandem C4

Just bought nice prostar 195 yr 2000, and double axle mastercraft c4 trailer with it. Looks like trailer needs some servicing, and hoping someone can lead me to where I can find an owners manual for it. Thanks, Darrell

Owner's manual for your boat. (wow, 32MB!)

http://www.mastercraft.com/files/man...s%20Manual.pdf

I don't see any specific manual for your trailer but there is a little info in the boat manual.

Thanks ski-me, I do have the manual for the boat and noticed some stuff on trailer. Not info on where brake fluid filler is, or info on electrical harness which are some of thing I'm trying to figure out...appreciate the try....I've seen more recent mastercraft trailer manuals, I wonder if they didn't publish them back in 2000?

Hey Darz,

I have the same trailer. I picked up this link at some point over the years. I haven't had to look too closely at these manuals yet (knock on wood) but I think UFP made quite a few of the trailer components. You actually reminded me that I need to think about replacing the return spring on my brake actuator this winter. I remember this website had a section for troubleshooting a clunk when you start off and the brakes release (which mine is doing).

Thanks Kevin, I took a quick look at the site and I think it will be helpful. Do you by chance know where to put brake fluid in the trailer? Funny, I can't seem to see the resevoir....usually right on top of tongue with cap. Darrell

I have the complete owners manual portfolio for the 2000 205v. Although it does have some trailer info on towing, backing, etc. the only real mechanical info is the UFP supplied booklets on the trailer buddies and braking system. There isn't a trailer manual per se in the documents I have. Which include everything from the pre delivery checklist to all service records so don't think they existed back then. That being said, the UFP booklets provide all the info needed for the average user.

Pictures would help. Perhap someone replace the Actuator with just a coupler?

Remove this black cap and the reservoir is under there for topping off fluid.

The first time I opened that cap when I bought my boat (used) there was a shriveled up (dead) mouse baby staring back at me. Yuck, was he ever jammed in there. Ripped him out with needle nose pliers but I think there are still a few remnants left behind.

Mine just had no fluid and a bunch of rust in the mastercylinder. Ended up replacing actuator and calipers.
