Great rig! Did VW de-rate the tdi Touregs or is it not the V10 anymore? I recall the older ones being somewhere around 300hp/500tq.

You do need a wrench to instal and tighten down, but it is rock solid. I use it on the T-Rex in the raised position.

No V10 in the US, 3 options, V6 Gas, V6 TDI and V6 Hybrid/Gas which has the highest HP rating and same Torque as the TDI, but lower fuel economy.

So no V8 or V10tdi anymore? Wonder why? Competing with the higher priced Cayennes and Audis?
Still that's great mileage out of the V6tdi. Close to 30mpg in an effectively full size SUV is awesome. (Too bad the US mfr's don't pull their heads out of their ^&^#$# and start producing some light duty diesels. I'm set for vehicles for years to come right now, but for my purposes, a 1/2 ton truck with a 450ft/lb+ diesel would be perfect.)
Oh wait, I got one. Too bad it's 18yrs old and too many miles!

I absolutely agree, would love to see a Diesel in a 1/2 ton. For me this reduced my fleet by one, combo daily driver/company car and tow vehicle plus something the wife can drive too. I loved my truck, but towing comparison with the T-Rex is comical actually, a gaser just can't compare.

While waiting for the insurance company to settle on my 1st one, I rented a 2500 gaser, it was better than towing with my Dodge1500 4.7 liter, but still no comparison to the VW and only got about 8 MPG. I do miss the height of the truck and certainly the bed when you need it though. I will probably get a used 2500 diesel down the road again someday.

Looks to be in great shape and looking good for a truck that is 18 years old and too many miles!

2014 for 1/2 ton diesels but I am not holding my breath.

The best you could get .... in 1998. 97 F350 with the 7.3 and a 98 prostar 205. I love both of them liking skiing and diesel performance is expensive.
