They have a waterski meet up, this thread has me thinking maybe there should be a Chicago TMC meet up group, people with boats can post when they want to go skiing and if they need people, then you have an organized way of knowing who's where when.

I'm currently shopping for a second boat to keep in the chicago area. Stay Tuned.

What kind of second boat? I'm in the MAG group. They do some cool things sometimes. I hosted a couple wakeboarding lesson meet ups this summer and always host 2 snowmobile trips on there. I know running a meet up costs $$ too. But I'm sure we could get enough people to donate. I'd start it but I can't devote proper attention to it. I think its a good idea.

Used meetup in 2011 - no one wanted to go via meetup. Hooked up with a guy with a yellow mooba outback this year and skied about 4 times with him....lot's of people sign up - but it seems most of the non-boat owners want to ski for near-free or free.

Meetup group cost 60+ a year - you can do the same on Facebook.

So make it boat owners only. I thought that was the point anyways. MC meetup. Not ski meet up.

used meetup for years...met most from here... lot of people on meetup say yes to show up...and then don't...still there but I don't use it much.
