Questions on Tower/Amp install
I'm sure this a lame question but...
I'm in the process of installing a pair JL audio tower speakers (MX770-ETXv2-SG-TB) and a JL amp (M200/2: Marine 2 Ch) to a Clarion CMD5 head unit. My question is; can I use the RCA jacks on the back of the head unit for the inputs into amp? The Documentation for the CMD5 and the JL amp are a point me in that direction. Just making sure before I proceed or start cutting things that shouldn't be cut. Thanks Sully

The CMD5 has 3 RCA output sets: Front - which have gray leads, Rear - which has black wire leads, and Non-Fade - which has Purple leads. All are perfectly suitable to use if open. If you use the Non-Fade, I would suggest going into the head-unit menu and turning its level up. Using the front RCA for the in-boat amp and rear RCA for the tower would allow you to use the head-units fade dial to adjust the volume level between the in-boats and tower. its not true zone control., but will allow you to tone down the in-boats while turning it up for the person in tow.
