1994 205 winterizing help needed

Just bought this boat this year (1994 PS 205) , looking into winterizing for the first time myself.

I understand the draining of the exhaust and block process.

Now Iím a bit confused were I add the RV anti freeze to fill up the block??

I see where Iíll fill the exhaust manifolds, but where do I fill the block?

Is there anything I should know about removing the knock sensor?

I think I fogged my carb until it died.

Drained all the water from manifolds and block. Blew out heater and hotwater shower lines.

took of thermostat housing cap, removed thermostat, filled with antifreeze waited for it to come out of petcock on block, closed petcock, reinstalled thermostat housing cap.

sprayed engine with spray silicone and proped up motor cover for ventilation.

When I bought mine the seller was the original owner and he said he was told after the first year that he was not to put anything in his block, water system. He never did after that and I haven't either. I drain everything, block, manifolds, all hoses and that is it. Might not be correct but haven't had any problems.

I winterize this weekend.

I felt more comfortable by draining the exhaust manifolds and block, I added the anti-freeze by pouring it directly into the block through the thermostat hosing (almost 3 gallons), then I filled the exhaust manifolds through the two hoses (LH, RH) until it poured out the exhaust. Remover the impeller, and called it a season. Might be more work, but Iíll sleep well tonight.

I have a '95 205 and drain the block - and pull impeller. I then back flush the transmission cooler to make sure there's no crud in it. there should be a drain plug on the engine side of the cooler. I then disconnect the molded hose that feeds the recirculation pump - then with safety lanyard disconnected I spin the motor a few times to get any water out of the recirculation pump. I also disconnect the raw water hose to pour some RV antifreeze thru trans cooler. I just don't want any ice crystals forming anywhere - had a couple friends have some minor freeze issues in water pump.

mgorczak1- If you fill the block through the thermostat, your filling your system from the bottom up, and that will cover the recirculation pump.

I didn’t do anything with the transmission cooler; I removed the hose and made sure there wasn’t any debris in the screen/filter.

I flush my tranny cooler cuz the river I ski has muddy water and duck weed very prevalent this time of year.
