I think American Skier, and Infinity deserve some recognition, the AS boats are also older hull MC style boats, and very usable, and the infinity has some very interesting features and was not a low market boat (firm wakes though) |

Wow, Malibu in the same tier as Mastercraft? Apparently they've come a long way. I would have guessed that CC dropped off into Malibu's tier, and MC was alone at the top.

That's funny that you mention the Centurion as that was exactly what I thought as well.
I would love to stick with MC, and I still hope to be able to, but there aren't any 205s around and the wife wants to buy local. Hopefully something will come up soon, as we are beginning to lose patience. That is an interesting take to put the bu in with the other two. Maybe currently that's true, but most things I've read still give a slight edge to the big 2 in the 90's, which is currently where my budget resides. also, you mention Brendella as being on a lower tier than MB. I thought they were one and the same, just Brendella later became MB or something like that? Both were run by Mike Brendel right? Apparently I need to brush up on my history ![]() |

Please check the thread below. You can find the discussion in its entirety. As is said, this is based on my experience and your findings will likely differ. The list is by no means definitive, and all boats mentioned are of a very high quality. Innovation and how long they've been building at the highest quality are likely the biggest difference between the first and second tier on my world.

Has anyone here skied behind one? My friend on the lake has a ski brendella (no idea on the year). Wake at 36 mph / 15 off is small but there is a BRUTAL rooster tail. Beats my calf/shin as I cut through it. Not a bad boat - but not ideal either. Definitely prefer an MC.....
