Csx 220

Does anyone have a CSX 220 or experience with one? I am thinking about buying a used one but have never been in one or rode behind one.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

the wake is awesome! same hull as the x25.
it will be difficult to find a cheap one in good condition that has the tower instead of the T top and isnt a saltwater edition.
seating isnt ideal, but perfect if you only take a few out with you.
being a center counsel, there isnt much protection from wind. this makes driving at night or in rain pretty cold. depending on your location of course.

its a unique boat with a fun wake, but i guess it depends on what you plan on doing with your boat.

There is a guy on our lake that has one...a non-salt water edition, that is. Every time I drive by it, I want him to be out on his dock so I can befriend him and ask to drive it. But it's always on the lift...

We have a 2008 CSX220 SS - It has the t-top but I am not sure why that is a disadvantage as it gives you shade and still has the tow point up top. Of course we are not professional watersports people so maybe we just don't know better. The boat puts out one heck of a wake - My group really likes the seating arrangement - Mine has the 400hp option so plenty of get up and go. I enjoy the stand up driving of the center console. I am not a sit down kind of driver which lead me to this boat. My only gripe is the front end rides low at slow speeds. While that may be normal for a ski/wakeboard boat its not normal for a center console that is meant to be used in rougher water. Feel free to shoot me an email if you want to discuss more about the boat - sraab928 at gmail.com -

If you enjoy fishing AND wakeboarding, this is the Bees Knees (cant beleive I said that). People razz others for usinf a wakeboard for fishing, but having a CSX220 with rod holders and swiveling board rack mounted to the gunwales is fricken cool. You will have a top knotch fishing and wake boat with wakes second to the X-star all in one package. I say go for it

BTW.. Welcome to the forum.

I have three CSX220's for my ski school. Hands down one of the best best I've owned. Great all around. If you can opt for the 400hp especially if your barefooting. I also have a few customers that have the CSX265, awesome as well and a great big water boat. Call or email me if you have any questions. I have about 3000 hours in CSX's alone. I know them in and out, the hull is so perfect we even picked up an X25 (same mold). Jim at BAWS has one in stock.

Love mine as well. Love the center console. Does well in rough water, lots of room inside. I have the smaller engine and happy with it but then again I don't know any better.

I don't see the T-top as a drawback. For that style boat it is a good look. I'd worry about resale with a conventional tower.
