$2000 does not sound like a bad price... You don't need to remove the motor to get the shaft out. I did not see in any of your original posts that you could visually see the rudder and strut were bent but it must have took a pretty hard hit for all that to be bent. If you would have stated that originally as you can see from the post(s) FrankSchwab referenced above that this repair alone was going to get pricey quickly... Best of luck with your purchase because I would guess by adding the rudder to the repair, parts alone will be very close to $1500 unless you can find them used.
