was anybody in the shuswap last week salmon arm or Sicamous.saw lots of mastercrafts .but wow i have owned mine for only 10 months and i already sank her . there was some freaky storm roll in .within 3 mins
3-4 ft swells came in, thunder, lightning , hanked my anchor loose through my boat sidways ,waves crashing over the front open bow , first one in ,second one in and she was sitting on the bottom . 3 other boats got swamped also.all ski boats . i think it lasted about an hour. i had to tie 4 ski ropes to it to keep it from getting destroyed and also tied up my 60 LBS brake drum to the anchor line to keep from loosing it . it was scarey . after the storm subsided we bailed it out with buckets along with the bilge pump and she was floating again . pulled all plugs .cranked it over and no water was in her ,some water in the oil. no water in the dizzy,
but the water was right up to the base of the carb .engine was submerged , glovebox was full also ,stereo everythnig it was amazing . i fired it up and drove her to the boat ramp . now she sits in my yard drying out ,i have yet to try the stereo , i hope the amps dry out . Doh!
eveything else is working . i did have to remove the blower hose as it was full of water .
oh the speedo got cracked and broke the hose loose. so far the strut looks straight and prop looks ok . but they both were buried in the sand and rock . the boat was flat on its bottom .
i figured for sure the prop would be destroyed . not sure if any water got in the gas tank yet because i had just filled it full of fuel . it did run fine for about 800 meters or so to the boat dock but who knows .

it was a mess ,even the lumber mill across the water lost a log boom .they where over at herald park collecting all the logs of the beach , it was a mess and boat is still full of sand and debris.

how was it in Sicamous ?
the waves were coming across from that side of the water sort of.

it was nasty at herald park .what screwed me up was my stern to shore line. it didn't let the boat swing around so it took it on the side which quickly took my anchor out.

the first early blow up swamped mine,i got it floating and then anchored it again and then that night it blew up again , boat did fine the second time around

We didn't get those big waves. When you are not watching the boat gotta leave it swinging around by the bow. They can ride out a lot with a proper anchor and line length.

Next time you are this way look for us on Mara. b/w prostar 190
With your boat you can run the river from the lake to Grindrod no problem. Allways smooth water there.
