Not sue if I put the Suzuki in the same league with an FJ40 although it is a good vehicle. Here is a picture of mine after my son got it stuck in the mud up to the frame after school one day. Had to have it winched out by a tow truck after unsuccessful attempts to dig it out and use the PTO winch (snapped the cable).

1973 FJ40 - mostly original with restoration by Cool Cruisers with custom bumpers. Old Man Emu Suspension with 2"lift. Father in law purchased new in 1973 - $4200 original invoice.

Nice cruiser starshack. Ever bring it up to BR? I kept saying I was going to bring mine up during the drawdown last winter but never got around to it.

I occasionally bring it up. Brought it up Thanksgiving on the prior big draw down and took it out on the lake bed. There are a lot of streams in our area and I was afraid to cross with no access or attachment points for the winch I was afraid we would get stuck. My setup is more for the street and forest service roads and not a rock hopper. I eventually will probably leave it at the lake as I am not driving it much in ATL since my son went to college. He used it as his primary vehicle during high school and it was definitely the coolest truck in the lot.

I have a '73 FJ40 under the knife for a complete frame off restoration and a '75 FJ40.
