Strapped pickup for 96 Prostar 190
So...I have decided to kick my retired fathers' fishing boat out of the boathouse and replace it with my Prostar. The lift is easily rated for the the weight but I need to modify the pick-up points....it is a strap system. Anyone got good experience?

I think I read on here that you're not suppose to hang a MC from the lifting rings for any extended period of time.

Not planning on lifting rings....I'm going to use a sling system under the boat.

I don't understand your question. Are you asking how wide the lifting points should be? Spreader bars? Where the slings should rest under the hull?

Pictures in detail would surely help.

Mainly was wondering experience. The slings will be from pulleys at the top sides of the boat house slip. I was wanting to know best spacing...distance from the front of the boat to the first sling, thendistance from the rear for the second sling...
Our lifts is setup like this except it has slings instead of the cradle... ![]() |

I finished the lift on the boathouse this weekend....nice to drive 5 minutes to house and have boat running within the next 10 minutes....
