Structural engineers look here

I installed a wake tower but noticed one side to be slightly out of kilt. I can fix it easy by sliding the inside rear bar over 1 inch to the right. The problem is I'd have 2 7/16 holes in close proximity. It would be concealed inside the slip tube. My question it will it weaken the tube considerably have two holes fairly close. Take a look at the bottom row of pics on this link. 4th over looking at back. You can see the two bolts that I would be relocating a inch to the left. I know you must be thinking, don't mess with an inch but the problem lies in it puts one of the tower speakers at an angle. Thanks for looking.

Gut response- I wouldn't sweat it.

I'm not a structural engineer, but a mechanical one.

Imo no problem, but you can put it where you want then have the seams welded if your still concerned...
