Update: my MC dealer just told me they are ordering me the tower braces for my 07 x1 free of charge!

I second the thought on the removing the hard tanks and installing some bags. It gives you tons of room for storage. I put 400's in but I'm thinking of going up to 750's this winter to make the surfing better.

750s are nice, but you need a LOT of weight up front with them. Along with the KGB I was running the integrated bow sac and two 350lb sacs in the nose when I had the 750s full, and I felt like it still could have used a little more weight up there.

They are great for surfing though.

That's great. Hopefully I can get the same results here. When I went to Texas Mastercraft in Fort Worth and asked them about braces and left all of my information they never got back with me. I never did try again with them.

Did your dealer say anything about the braces? Like, recall or service bulletin?

Congrats on the boat. It will be a long winter, but misery loves company and you will have plenty of company here.

I feel the pain. When I first got my boat it was late September and it needed some engine work before it was ready for the water. I didn't have all the bugs worked out until early summer.

Dealer just said that yeah, that's a recall. I'll order those in for you and give you a call...I hope it all works out when he orders them...I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE: Braces came in, I installed them in about 1/2 hr. Beautiful craftsmanship on those FREE parts BTW!!! Tower looks AWESOME!
