2007 X2 Jump seat or others
I am looking for the optional jump seat for a 2004 Mastercraft x2. The one that sets up in the bow walk through. If nobody has one for sale would you mind posting pictures of it for me. The local dealer says it is NO longer available for my boat.
So I might have to make it |

Anyone put one in a PS205? With 5 kids I'm always looking for more seats.

To the OP, check to see if replacement skins for that jump seat are still available. I made one for my old 205 and started by getting the replacement skins. From there, you can reverse engineer the measurements.
To gatorguy, here's my old jump seat. The frame is mostly wood. The countour of the base was done by cutting several strips of 1" thick foam insulation and sandwiching them together. I bound that piece with duck tape and glued it to the side of the frame. Worked like a charm.

I had a step on the other side as well. I added a second cup holder later. Probably the best mod I ever did. It was heavy, which meant moving it in and out of the boat was a pain. However, there was never much need to move it in and out of the boat.

In the morning when we ski everyone is trying to all cram onto the observers seat. With the jump seat we could put in the bow wind blocker and keep the window closed. I think I'm gonna try to build one. |

Different kind of seat. The newer boats had slots in the base so that a seat could slide out. If you want to save weight, you can cut the entire base out of styrofoam and reinforce the seat back somehow.
Alternatively, for about $200, you could buy a used Nautique jump seat. They are a little shorter in the base, but they get the job done well. I used one for several years before I built the one above. Whatever weight it added didn't affect the slalom weight in my old boat. By the way, this is what the OEM jump seat for an old 205 looked like.
