Used barefoot suit
Never had a wet suit before, tired of pulling shorts out of my a$$ and don't have a budget for a new one.
I have located a used one that looks new. It is a 1995 model. (eagle) I don't know if the suit loses some stretch over time or if the thread gets brittle. It has been stored in a closet, so no sun light if that matters. Any input would be appreciated. I know it is a long shot, but I have a freshly reworked 13x13 lh cupped 1" prop I would be willing to trade for a used suit. (XL) |

Eagle makes a great suit and it will last a long time if cared for properly. My suit is about 12 years old and I’m handing it down to my kids and I’m buying a new one. I never left my suit lying around in the sun and it was hung up in the shed when not in use, so it looks like new. If someone took care of the one that you are looking at, it should have a lot more years left in it. They usually hold their shape pretty well but they do loosen up when they get wet.
Can you give it a visual inspection? Note: My suit is in great shape because I’m on my feet most of the time. Now that my sons are using it, they spend most of the time bouncing across the water. ![]()

I have had my suit going on 11 years (INTENSITY) and not a thing wrong with it, I take care of my stuff though! Bought a new suit last year just cause and I bought an EAGLE. If its worth anything I bought a drysuit from 1994 from a member on here, looks like new.

I'd say go for it but it being a barefoot suit, I would not buy it with expectations of a "wetsuit for warmth." If it looks OK, no rips, etc, I'd say it's good to go at the right price.
I'm contemplating a new Eagle or BI sleeveless shorty for $289. .

After some looking today I found a new, never worn and still in the plastic Eagle Assault for $85. He thinks it was a 2004 model. |
