Would You Purchase This MC X30?
I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 X30 and have obtained the service records from the dealer. There doesn't seem to be anything major but its not a perfectly clean record.
Things like the owner running it out of fuel so it needed a new fuel pump, new starter coil, and a note that when the boat was taken in on consignment both the engine and transmission oil were low and dirty. It has approx. 250 hours. I did a test drive the other day. The boat is clean, drives nice, and everything seems to be in good working condition. Its the original owner...just didn't receive the kind of TLC I like to give my boat, but the dealer has cleaned it up nicely. Last edited by thedailym; 04-25-2017 at 09:51 AM. |

pics? 2nd gen X30's can be tough to find for less than $40K so $39K isn't bad if there are no major issues.

The Texas Ski Ranch is a great dealer in my opinion. I am only about 5 miles from them and they have been a big help with my '86. Like jafo9 suggested posting pics to see if anyone here knows the history of the boat. Do you know if the boat was stored on Lake Dunlap?

I have seen quite a few posts from members in Austin. Someone will probably be able to give you some history on it. I have seen a few "time share" boats on Travis on Craigslist over the years, so you might want to check to make sure it was not one of them. I asked about Lake Dunlap because of the flood a couple of summers ago and a lot of boats were damaged. Best of luck on whichever decision you make!

If you're nervous about it, buy a MC 3 plus 3 extended warranty at time of purchase. You should be about get one that covers everything or one that covers just the engine and tranny.

Thanks! I'm getting tired of trying to find the other 10% ...and if I do, I'm sure I'll have to pay more!
