gel coat repair
Don't know if you will be able to tell from these pictures, but does anyone have any opinions on how hard of a gel coat repair this would be for someone that doesn't specialize in gel coat repairs? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Buy a gel coat repair kit and do it yourself.

Are those hinges causing the damage? If so, you may want to deal with that before any repair.

not the hinges, but the gas tubes that support the motor cover must be going or have gone bad causing the hinges to make contact

This would happen when the actuator for the hatch has been removed and only using the little ram to hold the hatch up. When you trailer like this the wind will get under the deck and cause it to open and break the ram and go over backwards damaging the gel. How do I know?
![]() I have yet to repair mine. However I did reconnect and use the actuator from now on.

this is much more low tech, but for small areas like that i use a product called marinetex. certainly not as glamorous as whats posted above, but cheap, easy and functional.

Yeah - do it yourself.. do you have the color name? Spectrum has small jars of gel to match.
