1991 240 for sale

I probably dont have all the info but I am trying to get the ball rolling for my father in law. I know he wants a new boat, he just doesn't have the time to spend that goes along with selling the old one and getting a new one picked out. So I will post some pictures and as much info as I have and if you want more PM me and I can get it. This boat has been maintained like crazy. It gets used for a couple weeks every summer down in the Ozarks, then it gets stored the rest of the year. It has about mid 700 hours, the 454 engine, comes with barefoot boom, fat pole, trailer, and cover. Last we talked he was wanting to get $20,000 for it. Lots more pictures available if you want to see them. Notice how shiny this thing is for being 20 years old. It is all original

agree. At that age, you are GOING to have some issues just due to years in service - for instance, cork on the fuel sender will start to disentegrate, manifolds even with great care can begin to rust from inside, carpet glue can start to give - stuff just starts to give in - I would want it at a price where I could sink 3K or so into it and still be able to sleep. I had a 1989 MC and sold it finally for those reasons, although it was still a great boat. I got 11K for it with 400 hours. I would think mid teens, just off hand for that boat.

Yeah I gave only 9500 for my '91 240SC. Maybe it wasn't as clean as this one when I bought it, but it is now and I assure you I ain't put 10 5 in it.... The norm you see these go for is around 10 to 14.....

Trust me I agree that it is hi. I don't think he needs to sell it, but honestly, my father in law is so meticulous any problems this boat would have would have to be unnoticeable. It is a one owner and someone will get a great 24' mastercraft that isn't willing to spend 50k for a newer one. I wish him luck anyways. I know he has someone talking to him right now off another website, I guess we will see. I only paid 25k for my 2000 maristar 230 vrs, so trust me I think it is too much money, but that is where he is starting. I think he will negotiate

Trying to restart this thread. My father in-law is more motivated to sell and I think 12-15K would probably take the boat off his hands. Still the cleanest 20+yr old mastercraft I have seen. I'm sure plenty of you on this site take as well care as he does but regardless if anyone knows anyone in the market he also upgraded the stereo and installed hard ballast tanks (polly) with a ballast buddy pump all hidden. With two 350 sacks extra it put out an awesome surf wake.
