I was on an X25 last weekend with the 6.2 ilmor, man this engine just puurss at 3000 RPM, and when you open her up, all I can say is wow. Pulling up a surfer, you had to be very easy on the throttle as it could jerk them right out of the water, so I don't think hole shot is an issue. Persons boat will remain un-named but he said the 6.2 is burning only 5-6 gallons/hour on the 25. This is way better than I get on my MCX/X2!

Pretty sure on the towers like today you have 3 options, base, upgraded with clamping racks and power, all 2 point. Follow the times, every other boat manuf. has gone to 2 point for the most part.

I guess the 3 options would be: mini tower on 197, Manual 2 point with non swiveling and swiveling clamping racks and the power tower.

Just this last weekend, at our lake, a couple in a bowrider was busy trying to get their daughter up on skis. Dad's driving, mom is watching/coaching/encouraging, and the other kids are in the bow. One of those kids decides to hang off of the bow in an attempt to touch the water with his hand while the boat is in gear moving forward. I don't think either parent noticed. The boy finally pulled himself back in the boat.

Scenes like that make me glad that we had a closed bow while the kids were young.
