02 xstar ballast
Just purchased my first boat, it being a 02 xstar and i need some advise on when to use the center and rear ballast tanks. Should you fill all three when you surf/wakeboard?
Any advise on how to make skiing / surfing and wakeboarding more fun behind this awesome boat using ballest would be great. Thanks |

wakeboarding all 3 + more weight evenly balanced and distributed 60/40 rear front....
Surfing fill up center and the side you surf on. |

from what i've read on the forum the xstar surfing isn't the greatest wave...but here is JerseyDave's setup on his:
For surfing: 750# sac port side locker, 400# sac on port side seat, fill KGB tank, everyone sits on the port side of the boat (and try 1-2 people in bow portside too) The sweet spot is still pretty close to the swim platform, but with an X-star it's hard to make a long "pocket" |

I bet to differ...
seems like a decent pocket to me there... ![]() 1 750 in port locker. nothing else. 1 person on port side + driver. |
