Smile 2008 TT gets a facelift

Been busy doing some minor upgrades to the black beauty this week...
Wednesday, I installed some lights on my tower...
Then I gave the boat a fresh new look with some updated decals...

Why???

Because I have never been a huge fan of the graphics that came on it. In fact, I don't think I'm alone in this thinking. I've seen at least a dozen other '08 TT boats where the original graphics were stripped in favor of something more "traditional". This is the kit for the '11 TT. It's not like the old scheme was that bad, but to me, this is just way more classy. I just thought I would share in case there are any other '08 TT owners out there considering a facelift.

Before...

And after...

You'll notice I omitted the WTT (which is part of the red stripe kit) and instead added the traditional PS 197 bezels for a slightly more understated look.

A big shout out to Corey at Midwest MasterCraft who got me hooked up and hunted down all the right part numbers.

That looks so much better. So out of 100 boats 2 of them have been redone.

I noticed that you upgraded your fulton jack. I am thinking about doing the same this winter.

Yep, did that last week. I picked up one of Tim's (aka CantRepeat on this forum) adapter plates.

The other upgraded 08 TT #58. Went from the stock decals to the wrap, naked, then the 06 TT decals. Having a solid color hull is great.

BTW...the removal of the old graphics was a total pain in the arse! The first side went pretty well with the aid of a hairdryer and took about 90 minutes. Using the same method, the second side took at least 4 hours. It broke-off way more often and left way more adhesive behind. I wonder if it each side was installed by a different person. Go figure...

I had the dealer remove the wrap on my boat. I know that it had to be tough to remove.
