so whats the difference between this and an x2 and an xstar? It seems to be about the same size as an x2.

Several pros have indicated that the X25 throws the largest and best shaped wake of all the MCs when loaded with only stock ballast. I spoke with a few folks who have ridden x-stars and the X25 and they indicated that the X25 with about 1500lbs of ballast has a wake the same size, but slightly steeper and narrower, than a modern X-star with 3500lbs of ballast. But I have no first hand knowledge. Other on here do and will certainly chime in.
The x-25 is a larger, deeper V boat than an X-2 and therefore would be expected to have a poor slalom wake compared to an X-2 and down right awful slalom wake compared to the DD models.

I still prefer the x-star wake to an x-25, the 25's wake is just a little too steep for my liking. The thing that sets the x-star apart is that even if you have 6,000# in the boat the wake is still nice and clean, which cant be said for any other wake boat on the market.

yea, all the pro's i know still choose the xstar... but only cause thats the boat they have to ride behind in contests. My friends will share boats depending on what they are being pulled behind in contests.

Echoing everything above, I have two kids who both like to ride but are not (yet) interested in a huge wake. I like a big wake but I'm not a pro-level rider by any stretch.
Our requirements which led us to the X25 were: * lots of room -- 8-12 people have to fit comfortably * 22' or less -- we live on a small lake so the 23-25 footers are overkill. In fact, the x25 is really stretching the upper limit on size. * good sized wake with only integrated/hidden ballast. We absolutely did not want fat sacs on the floor or seats. * clean wake at 16-18mph for the kids -- wakeplate and empty ballast achieves this. * surfable with integrated/hidden ballast After test driving the XStar, X15, X2, X25 and coming from an X1, the X25 fit the bill the best for us. The x15 was very close but the wake was more like the XStar -- not as vertical. |

Falls Pond. It's only about 100 acres but it's more than enough for us.

Also, the cup holder/step is being taken care of. I think the dealer was more annoyed than we were over it. And there's more than enough room to fit bags under the front seat rather than in the walkway.
So now instead of 98.5% satisfied I'm back to 100% |
