1999 x-star fuel pump

i have been searching for a fuel pump, i saw the thread that contained the 2005 x-2, would that pump work (Advance auto parts E2044, Napa e2065, acdelco ep356) in the pictures those pumps looks shorter. My dad had been posting on here a little over a year ago about trouble shooting the problem (fuel pump was over heating and shutting off) , but he passed away unexpected pretty much right after he started the post. This last summer i was coaching at a camp in texas, so i didnt need to fix the boat but now im trying to get it ready for spring. thanks for the help guys.

on the pump its self it has the numbers

there is a sticker that has the brand carter with the numbers

I don't have anything to ad to this thread but my condolences, so sorry to hear about your father and hope you get that boat fixed quick to honor him and finish what he started.

Nothing to contribute on the fuel pump, but I lost my dad last year. It's tough loosing those that we've looked up to for so long.

i believe i have found one. the autoparts store says in can be a little shorter than my currnet fuel pump as long as the plug ins match up. is this a true statement?

I haven't had the pleasure of replacing the pump in my 06 yet, but if you'er getting just the pump from a parts store, then you're re-using the rest of the module, so depth won't be a concern since the module is already designed for the particular tank's depth.

awesome, thanks i just plugged the electronics into the top of the fuel pump assembly and it ran when i turned the key to accessory, i put it in the tank and the boat wouldnt turn over, i have the battery on the charger, so we will see what the verdict is!
