You could always say the trailer was homemade and get a title for the trailer that way......... Also As TMC said you can trailer where ever you want with it. The boat is registered in SC you dont get plates for the trailer in SC therfore you do not need plates....

Fill out a loss of title at DMV? I've done that here, but you have to have a title for a trailer here too so it may be different
