The old rig was too cool, though! I remember when my mom got her 1989 S-bomb... it was so cool! My superintendent offered to give me his 1990 Suburban. I have dreams a restoring one, but unfortunately, I have nowhere to store one while doing the resto... it just is not in the cards now! |

Thanks, wasn't sure at first with the white/black combo but turned out pretty good. I think you either like it or hate it.

Toyota's in general are such nice cars, I really like the sequoia. I saw the pic of your truck on wakeside and looks like a great combo!

the leveling kit really did the trick... i like that the wheel and tires are closer to the outside line of the fender flare... gives it a more burley stance... i can't take it onto a toyota lot (my dad's shopping and we're partners in crime) w/ out getting mauled by the salesmen asking about the sizes and stuff and what i did... i guess i did something right... i'm happy w/ it... i'm really wanting to get into the SUV thing... but i'm over buying brand new... take such a beating on them... o well you live you learn... sadly w/ the boating market being what it is i'm better off in my truck right now than i am in my boat

This is my long-haul setup, on our (now) annual pilgrimage across the pass to the "warm side of the mountains".
My rig for "local" towing (10 miles to the lake) is my 96 Subaru Outback. It pulls, stops and launches just fine. I do miss my old '86 Subie wagon that had a hi/low transfer case which made pulling a boat up a ramp easier on the clutch, but the Outback is just enough heavier than the old wagon to not be scary if I have to get on the brakes. I did use it to tow 120 miles up the freeway I bought the boat last spring. It was all good except when it hailed an inch just before starting down a big hill... that was a little hairy-scary but still uneventful. It would have been equally hairy in the 4x4 F-250, and the trip would have used ~3x the fuel $$. |
