fuel problems

95 prostar 400hrs 350hp the problem is the new fuel pump will not pump gas out of tank but if you put the fuel line in a 5 gallon bucket it is pumping fuel and the boat is running please help i have been working on this boat for the whole summer and this is the closest it has been

Did you check the anti siphon valve?fuel shutoff valve?dip tube into the tank,clogged pick up screen.

Fuel tank vent line? If it's blocked somehow (kink in the vent hose, maybe mud daubers in the actual vent fitting), it won't run.
