Unless you are in a capsuled boat, they don't normally use harnesses, but some do. I think if I ever built one, I would want a full 5-point set up for running in the 100+ region.

I don't know much about them but sounds like the way to go, hitting the water at 90mph is hard. The boat in the pick looked like the cockpit survived so he may have done better strapped in??

100+ in a boat is SO fast! I did it in a HTM. It was OK to do once (a few times on one day). But I wouldn't do it in that boat ever again. And he said that wasn't his fastest prop! He spun the middle out of that one! I was just sitting in the middle of the bench seat in the back holding on (with death grips) to the backs of the front seats. Hat, t-shirt, shorts, and bare feet. Luckily, my hat was rated at those speeds and I was wearing goggles (sun glasses). It was over 115 in Havasu that day. Blow dryer ride... I WOULD do it again if there was more safety devices involved.

I have to agree with you here. Hit 107 mph in a 45 Sonic with triple supercharged HP500s. It was a lot of fun at the time, literally tore my shirt in half. I think I like putting around at 25 mph better.

I would not do anything above planing speed in an High Turnover Marine. Those boats have a tendency to spend more time flipping over than they do running! Good decision on never doing that again!
