Exclamation Thinking of a 99 205v. Price? Opinions?

Guys,
I am looking at a 99 205v. I know it doesn't have the wrap around seating, but is it still a good boat? I have heard there have been some problems with the Vinyl from that era.
The boat I am looking at has less than 200 hours, tower, tandem axle trailer, 330 hp engine, tower speakers, and he is throwing in all accessories for $23k. Is that to much to pay?
I need to decide today so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The boat looks nice and clean from the photos. One of the main reasons people buy a V-drive is for the wake and seating configuration. This boat does not have the wrap around seating which limits the versatility of the boat. If that is not a big deal for you, then go for it. With the economy the way it is right now, many people are getting rid of toys like this. I don't feel like $23,000 is a bargain for that boat, but seem s to be inthe upper range of it's value. I'd offer a bit less and see what happens. You can always go up on your offer....you can't go down

i agree with tscott. seems a tad bit high i wouls work on the deal!! sounds a little high to me. the brand of tower actually hurts the value of that boat IMHO. good luck!!

My 1998 vinyl is holding up even in the 115 degree AZ heat

This is a pic when I first got it and it had a couple scuff and dirty but that's gone now

Get it!!!

There can be problems with the vinyl upholstery of any era, if it is not maintained properly, I'm just sayin'!

That would be alittle high, but with it being a V-Drive and with the LTR engine(get oil pump gear inspected and replaced) I would say 21K would be a great starting point. I wish they would have kept using the LTR engine.

I own the direct drive version of that same boat. Very powerful engine and have had no problems with vinyl. You didn't state how many hours it has. If it has low hours and is in immaculate condition you may be pretty close on price. However, I would always offer less and only go that high if you are really in love and everything is in top notch condition.

I have a 1999 230 VRS. No problem with vinyl (other than mildew in our high humidity) That is certainly low hours on a 99. I think engine hours are often misunderstood. Better they be run than to sit. Just my opinion. Price is probably o.k. if it is pristine but not a bargain. I would certainly make lower offer.

"Less than 200 hours" per post #1.
