Prop and Speed Questions 83' S&S

I have an 83 Stars and Stripes with the 351W and the Borg-Warner Velvet Drive. I am not sure what prop I am running but I am guessing it is stock. It is a 3 blade. I was wondering if there was a prop that I could get that would allow for more speed at a lower RPM. I don't know much at all about props. I wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, ski, and cruise around the lake alot. I am not sure how fast I am going ever because my dual speedos are constantly clogged up. It just doesn't seem like it will move very quickly at all without running a zillion RPM's. Any info would be appreciated!! Thanks!!! -Cody

I have a stock 13x13 three blade. I don't have the powerslot trans, just the standard 1:1. I'm able to get a top speed of 43mph at 4800rpm's.

There are two people you can talk to about your prop questions:

PS...I pull skiers based on rpm's. I've had far too many problems with the speedo's clogging up that I've found rpm's to be more consistent. I figure rpm's are fairly close to mph's.

Cody - What is the transmission ratio? What is the max RPM the current propeller will turn? Eric @ ojprops

I am actually not sure. I have had it to about 4200 RPM's I believe but it wasn't moving very fast and it sounded like it was going to blow up so I just have never had it past that.
