How is dash trim held in place?

I have an early 2001 205v/x-star that was built before they began installing the foam molded pad that goes from left side of dash down to the floor (see black molded trim piece in attached photo).

I was able to find a new one like the picture but there isn't any screw holes or clues in how it's molded to determine how it is installed. Kinda looks like they used double sided tape but not sure if that would be durable enough. For those of you with a later year 205v/x-star/x-1 can you check and let me know how it is attached?

Thanks

Threadjack

Sorry, I don't know how it's held in. I'll look at mine tomorrow and see if I can tell however (insert threadjack alert) where did you get the pad?

Mine has a tear and I'd love to replace it.

Thanks much, Steve.
