Changing impeller

Hello, I need to change the impeller on my 1996 mastercraft pro star 190. On the front cover it reads," Indmar 68-5001." I want to know which impeller I should use to replace the one in this pump. Is there a cross reference chart so that I can match it up with? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Some of the post I been reading online say that the Johnson 812b doesn't fit. Did you ever replace an impeller in the indmar 68-5001? I looked everywhere for a cross reference chart but can't find one for indmar 68-5001.

Cross reference here ==> http://www.marinepartssource.com/new...no=10-24805-01

The 812B is the correct impeller (or equivalent) as stated above by a TT member. Click on the accessories tab in the link and see that the 812 crosses to the 68-5001. I have installed the 812B in the 68-5001 part.

You can also buy it here ==> www.skidim.com and they too will call the 812 OEM for that application. Read closely. It's there.

I will say this: the bearings in the pumps go out sooner or later. I chose to replace the entire pump assembly after I discovered this after observing a small leak on a 93 Indmar R/W pump / low hour engine. Take it for what it is worth....

The vast majority of Indmar and PCM engines from the last 20+ years take the same Johnson 812 impeller.
