fuel issues

boat struggling over 32 mph, starts right away, idles okay. Struggles out of the hole with full throttle. Have changed the inline fuel filter. Any suggestions before taking it in the mechanic.
Sounds like it is starving for fuel.

year of boat? in tank fuel pump? if so those hoses inside can collapse, and the pumps have been known to be bad...

I put a fuel pressure gauge from Jegs in line at the carb to see the pressure (thus drop).

many possibilities. old lines going bad, especially with ethanol fuel. Anti siphon valve (top of tank) or pickup in tank partially blocked; allowing sufficient flow until demand it too great.
Mechanical fuel pump getting weak.

BTW, this should have probably been in the Technical - Engine section......

2001? if in tank fuel pump.. I bet fuel pump failing.. if inline fuel pump.. fuel pump screen could be clogged... or fuel pump dying..
