They asked me about overheating. It did overheat once last spring, but I turned it off, got towed in, and took it straight to the dealer. Ended up with a new water pump. Never ran it overheated, and it was on freshwater at the time too. No telling what happened when the original owner had it.

And it is a saltwater series, so yes it has closed cooling.

agree ? Oil Pressure 40, Compression 160. High will go to low if cracked.

Sorry to hear about the motor..... I'm not a big fan of our dealer here in So. Cal. Was curious where you too the boat for a second opinion and how you liked them?

I took it to Boostpower in Newbury Park north of LA, and they did fantastic. It is a bit of a drive, but they have a really impressive shop, they know their stuff, and pay attention to all the little details. They normally do high performance boats, but did not have a problem working on a v-drive.
