ZFT4 bimini

Does anyone have a close up pic of the Bimini open and what to do with that little plastic pole clamp piece and Velcro? Where does it go when closed?

Yes thanks. Also tell me, when you unfold the Bimini and push the 2 poles up linear for inserting pin, do the poles tend to snap/ bend inward toward center of boat or stay straight(before pin is in)? Mine bows in on 1 side only

You have to straighten to poles and put the pins in.

Can you take a pick of the plastic pole?

Mine has plastic clips that hold the poles in place when folded down.

The pins on mine are a PITA. One side the poles bend inward, the other is straight. I found this thread while searching for a solution or a possible hard top....

I use the square grey plastic piece to help align and wrap the velcro around the poles. The plastic clip is used when folded!

The plastic clip is only for storage in the up position.

The Velcro wraps around at the cross of the 2 bars.

For the pins, after you have muscled the bars into the locked position, you will need to pull down slightly for the holes to line up and insert the pin. Actually, the poles are tight enough, you really don't need the pin, I only insert because those cable tethers are known to rust and break. Surprising, on my second season and they are still there.

I loosen the straps holding the bimini to the tower when unfolding and folding. It relieves the tension on the poles and pins then just cinch em up after opening.
