WS REV speaker wire gauge

For those of you that have Wet Sounds on your towers, what gauge speaker wire are you using? I'm in the pain-staking process of adding Rev 8's to my tower (tower never was wired before speakers, '02 xstar), and the hole to fish the wire up into the tower legs is small. I imagine 12 g would be preferred, but would 14 or 16 yield same/different results? Powered with a HT-4. What is "recommended"?
Thanks

Thanks, I wondered what you used with the white jacket over the wires. Wires are super protected, but that adds more girth, less room to fish up, no?

its been fun so far....i guess my main question is will smaller gauge wire affect sound quality/output from the speakers, say 14/16 instead of 12 gauge?

14 gauge will be plenty... 12 and 10 are usually for subs....

I used the same jacketed 12awg as too-tall, but 14awg should be good. I always use this calculator to figure out wire sizes http://www.bcae1.com/images/swfs/spe...rassistant.swf
