Peter I would like to have you rebuild mine if possible at the end of this coming season just to freshen her up. I would also like to add the correct J tubes and fuel line connection as I dont think mine is a true Marine carb. She is a 4160 for sure and runs like a top but a little TLC never hurt.

The question is will you sign it for me?

I don't think the J tubes for a marine carb will fit into an automotive carb. I have some tubes here I can measure. Shoot a couple pics of your carb to my email and I can tell you what you have.

I also have a marine 4160 carb from an 89 Prostar on the rebuild shelf available.

Even if they did, a-J-tubes-only retrofit does not a marine carb make.
IIFC there are other mods that prevent leakage and such.

Slight gas leak from stuck float........

Marine Carb
...runs a little rough

Auto Carb...fireball.... and make the front page AND the news. Plus your Insurance won't pay

After some light reading.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.
