Oooh - '05 X2 vs. '06 X1 vs. 06 X2 and new UK boats

Were someone in the mood for a new wakeboard boat...... which the little members club I belong to could be shortly.. what's the best boat for wakeboarding. X-Star is out of the question as its too large.

Last year the decision seemed simple: X2.

If I'm right 2005 X2 was the orginal X-Star hull which was the 205V hull.

Following on from that the 2006 X1 has the 205V hull but is missing the central ballast that the 2005 X2 had. Therefore not quite as a good wake without fatsacs.

2006 X2 I've heard has a new funky stepped hull that gives great wake for boarding and is good for skiing too.

Has anyone boarded behind either the 06 X1 or 06 X2 and previously experienced the last model X2 too.... what did you think?

Is the 06 X2 wakeboard wake better than the 05 X2?
How does the 06 X2 ski wake compare to say a 1997 Prostar 190, I'm assuming its not going to rival the latests Evo's but is it skiable down the course?
I'm thinking the central ballast should bea factory option on the '06 X2? Team MC?

Anyone out there know anything, I'm sure there's boats popping out the molds as I speak and some must have found very happy homes by now......

.. what d'all think? I've found this site to be a wealth of knowledge so I'm sure there's some grounded opions out there.

My thoughts are with those awaiting Rita.
