REALLY Cold weather

So its supposed to drop to -16 here in central ohio on monday or tuesday. I have the -40 pure RV antifreeze in my 07 MCX block right now (dry blocked, then ran pure antifreeze). I know the -40 rating is copper burst, any reason to worry about those water jackets?

If you used -40 and did it right... no you should be good. If the boat is inside or shelter storage even better.

We're -10 here in MI today and I'm feeling good I did heated indoor storage even though I used the same stuff and procedure you did.

should be no problem.... wind chills no effect freezing water... but it is fun to throw a hot cup of water up in the air when the wind is blowin' in sub zero weather...

Try the banammer. Leave a banana sit outside overnight and then hammer nails with it.

Your engine will be fine. I have had temps down to -30 with my boat outside and no problems. Forecast for -27 here.

If you have small kids, blowing soap bubbles is entertaining. The soap will freeze.

-16 is just crazy! It was 18 here this morning which is really cold for us here in the South, but you can have your sub zero weather!

I have gone out fishing in September when it is 40 degrees wearing shorts. It is all aout what you are used to. If it gets to 100, I am inside in the A/C.

I'll be sitting in the lake with a cold beer. Got to down it quick before it gets warm though.
