Heated Seats

Has anyone added heated seats to their boat? I have a 2010 X2. If I ever bought a new boat it would be a must. The cool nights are nice with a heater but would be so nice if I had heated seats.

I have the switch on the dash already and wondered if it was already pre-wired for this?

Thanks,

I am guessing that the boat is prewired but really don't know. Is there a plug -in location next to the drivers seat?

I had it in my 2008 and it is useless-couldnt tell it was working. I talked to a few other new boat owners because i wasn't going to order it on my 2014 and they said the heaters in the seats are fantastic now. So be careful on what you order if you decide to go with it.

Good point. I wouldn't say the heat in my '08 was useless, but I noticed a definite improvement in my '09 and I imagine even more so these days.

I've done heated seats in my last three 197's, I think far better than a heater for comfort. My 2014 ProStar will have them also. If anything, the drivers seat gets a bit too toasty at times. Have to switch it off for a while, would be nice to have low, med, high switch.

The heated seats of 2012 are good. Defenetly the driver, only in the back it doesn't give much. The observer seat gives heat in back and but. Only less than the drivers seat.

I added it to my 2007

The drivers seat comes apart very easily to add this. I put one pad in the bolster, 1 pad in the seat bottom and 1 pad in the back. Bought the factory deutcsh connector on ebay and wired it to the factory switch. YOu need 2 heated seat kits to do it.

The heaters in my 2008 are certainly noticeable. Wife uses them all the time.
