96 Prostar 205 - $6500

http://denver.craigslist.org/boa/4228077469.html

Back again on the local craiglist he was asking more in summer dropped the price to $6500.

Been half thinking about going to an open bow. But what other damage should I be looking for?

Saw this posted a while back. I wonder why it hasn't sold yet? Hmm.

I don't know he lives close enough to me that I may go look at it after the holidays and see what's really going on with the underwater running gear.

If your close it might be worth a trip over there. I'd love to find a 205 with a decent looking tower in my area for that money as long as it didn't need a huge amount of work

I just don't know how much work is worth it. If I don't think it's that bad I could always have the MC dealer give it an inspection. Also I would have to sell my boat too, my wife has told me repeatedly I can't have two!

It looks like it's missing a few pieces. No way to know true condition without looking at it though. There has to be a reason its still around though

That boat looks a little rough. How are you with fiberglass/gelcoat repair? If the hull was damaged when the running gear took a hit your looking at a pricey repair. Trailer new is $3-4K, then you have interior work, etc. What shape is your 190 in? The 205 is a well sort after hull, it doesn't hurt to look and if the drivetrain checks out you can always lowball him.

You want to replace your '93 190 S&S LT-1 with a 205? Really???
If so, I better move some stuff around to make some room in the pole barn!

To bad the ad poster didn't include pics of the running gear. Probably would've garnered more attention from people further away if they could see what needed to be done. JMO
