fuel filter or pump?
2008 X2 - had been running fine all weekend. Late Sunday PM ... idle fine ...but soon as you would give any throttle - would back fire and stall or shut completely off.
Continues to idle fine - just no throttle? Filter or fuel pump? How hard to change? Tank was full to start day - got down to about 1/2 tank. Have been adding stabil during last few fill ups to get in system for winter storage. Thanks. |

Others will chime in, but you should fill the tank then pressure test with a gauge. I don't think fuel passes through the filter with a full tank.
If the pump test bad, change the filter too. The filter should be changed every 2 years anyway.

I think the fuel always goes through the filter. If it didn't it would be pointless to have one.

Putting a pressure guage on it is a quick and easy way to confirm you have a fuel issue. |
