Rudder wobble (2005 XStar)

I've noticed that there is a small amount of play in my rudder (if I grab the rudder from under the boat and push it left to right), the play is probably about 1mm. I fitted a new lip seal at the top part of the rudder at the beginning of the season. It's not letting water by.

Is the play normal? If not how do I fit it! I have take the rudder out to have a look and there seems to be a tube about 4" long in the rudder housing - does this wear and need replacing (if so how do you get it out)?

Thanks in advance.

Adrian

No suggestions? Anyone think it wouldn't be ok to carry on using the boat with the wobble for the rest of the season?

How does it handle?

I would just squirt some grease in the housing and enjoy the rest of the summer.
