Bad Vinyl Years

I have heard a variety of years where MC's had poor quality vinyl, that often failed after just a few years. Which year range exactly was the premature failing of the vinyl? I have heard 03-04 or 05. Some say early 2000's....

So very recently, as of the last few days, I have seen more threads regarding MC and other manufacturer's bad vinyl years....definitely '01 and '02? When do you think they fixed whatever the problem was (bad material, stitching product, or otherwise) 03, 04, 05 etc seem to rid of the problem? Looking at an '02, so looking for more info.

Thanks

I've personally seen an '06 with the splitting/cracking at the stitching same as my '03.

Huh, was it the vinyl or the thread? Anyone know when MC went to UV coated thread?
