1975 Mastercraft

I just bought a 1975 MasterCraft with a 351 Holman-moody motor. My question is: How many 1975 MasterCrafts had this motor option?

Question no. 2. can you still get windshields for this year boat?

No.3 is the bottom of this boat solid fiberglass? I know the stringer are wood wrapped in fiberglass but I'm not sure of the bottom.

last but not least, what is top speed for this year. The manual says the Hp of the motor is 255 and the previous owner said it had a top speed of 48-50 does this sound right?

I will post pictures soon.

Thanks!

The windshield will be a hard find. You may get lucky and someone will come along with one, but it is probably they hardest part to replace on the entire boat.

That top speed sounds a bit high but is in the ballpark.

The bottom is all fiberglass. You are correct on the stringers, they are fiberglass wrapped wood. The floor is probably also fiberglass or resin covered plywood too.

Pictures are a must. You will be amazed at what people will pick up on.

Windshield? What other parts do you need? Check with this guy, unless someone has made an offer on the entire boat.

Welcome to Team Talk. Great find on a classic early MC. There is an ad for a windshield here in the Market. It's a few months old, but worth a try.

The floor is plywood. Top speed will be 44-45 MPH.

Hope to see those pictures soon.

Edited .....

It's kinda misleading forum here... It says Classifieds Buy/Sell.... The sub forums are Sell only...

I wouldn't want to be a mod here and try and shuffle all these threads into a certain spot. lol It does look like he just bought it and prolly like me, a little confused on where to post his question... Since there's actually 3 questions it could have fell under several forums..

Does my head in... lol I wouldn't want to be a mod... lol
