I have an '07 Xstar with the 8.1l and after consulting with OJ props, I switched out the stock prop (13x22) to an OJ 14.5x17.5. Its a great prop for hole shot and cruising. Your boat is slightly heavier so you could also consider the 14.5x15.5 which will have more low end pop but not as much high end. Do a search for Eric at OJ props and call him.

I have an '02 X-30 with the L18. The stock prop was a SS 14 x 18. I'm now running an OJ XMP 13.5 x 17. It works great.

Hey Frank,
I have the same year, boat and engine. I have found overall the 14.75 X 15.5 will be the best way to go. I usually am at altitudes from 3000-6000, and the cruising speed is typically around 26mph, with plenty of power out of the hole when loaded down as well. |
